Bungalow 2004

Bungalow comprises 4 parts; each a scale model of an unassuming middle class house one might have built anywhere around Vancouver (or elsewhere for that matter) in the 1930s. The work reflects upon the notion of renovation – the ubiquitous addition – that may have occurred over the subsequent decades (50s, 70s, 90s) to meet the needs of successive generations. The work looks specifically at the inside spaces and how these redefine the exterior.
