Pattern Façade 2016
In September 2016,I was invited to produce a work as part of an annual curated series, called Façade, of animated projections by the Burrard Arts Foundation (BAF) at the Vancouver Art Gallery. My piece involved creating a collage of evolving images that were projected onto the symmetrical rear of the gallery's neo-classical edifice.
By "butterflying" the high chroma, collaged images onto the architectural surface, I aimed to transform the static nature of the building into a dynamic display. This fusion of traditional architecture and animated projections sought to engage viewers in a new way, inviting them to experience the artwork and challenge their usual perceptions of the gallery.
